Our Opportunities

Get Involved with SPRTV!

Exciting things are happening for Summit Public Radio & TV. SPRTV is looking for members to join the Board of Directors and help lead the organization into the future. All skill sets are welcome, and experience with marketing, outreach, strategic planning, or technology are especially helpful.
SPRTV is currently seeking individuals to fill some vacancies on our Board of Directors. We welcome those with experience or interest in fundraising and or marketing to help SPRTV grow its membership, and those with technical or engineering skills, which are needed to maintain and develop existing and new technologies in rebroadcasting our FM radio and TV stations.

Please send an email to Suzanne Greene at president@SPRTV.org with your interest.

Thank you.

Power Line Reach One Installed

In autumn 2021, SPRTV achieved a major milestone: One mile of the new power line now reaches up Bald Mountain. While our capital project continues, so does our need for operating revenue. Please make a donation this holiday season to keep SPRTV’s channels on the air for the benefit of our community. Thank you for your continuing support!

WE HAVE CHANGED OUR PO BOX!

Read a Summit Daily News article about SPRTV’s progress on replacing the its power line and a great Breckenridge Creative Arts Magazine profile of SPRTV. Our electronics site at 12,600 ft. on Bald Mountain provides great signal coverage for much of Summit County. However, due to the high elevation and harsh weather, maintaining and improving our facility is costly. Without the hard work of our volunteers and the financial generosity of our supporting members, half of the FM radio stations and nearly all the free, over-the-air antenna TV channels would disappear from Summit County. We do not receive funding from the stations/channels we rebroadcast. Nor do we receive any annual operating funds from groups like NPR and PBS; or state, county or local town governments. We rely 100% on donations from our listeners and viewers . . . Like you!
