Webcam Down

Unfortunately, after making several mechanical repairs to our webcam on Baldy Mountain, and getting pectacular images, our Internet provider has run into difficulties.  Our camera won’t transmit images unless we have an Internet connection at the electronics site.  We’ll make a post as soon as our ISP fixes their problem.

KUNC Press Release Regarding Frequency Change in Summit County

KUNC put out the following Press Release yesterday.  Please note that KUNC can no longer be heard on 88.3FM.  The station is now available on 88.1 and 88.7FM in Summit County.   FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 28, 2012 KUNC Improves Summit County Signal Coverage   Beginning today, Summit County listeners who are used to hearing KUNC at 88.3 FM will need to tune in a bit lower on the dial to hear the station’s blend of NPR and regional news and music. Webcam Protective Lens Replaced.

Our webcam suffered some damage during the excessive winds experienced this winter.  The protective lens covering was scratched when the webcam broke loose in its housing and the scratch was visible in our broadcasted image.  Gary replace the lens covering and our image now clearly shows the beauty of northern Summit County.  Check it out here.

High winds during the holiday season caused the Old Head End shack to blow over and the receive antenna for KBCO to topple.  The shack did not house any SPRTV equipment.  It was being used by others.  However, the damage to the antenna has caused an outage of KBCO.  We will continue to keep you updated as repairs begin.
